About

To share a bit about myself let me begin by saying I am most grateful for the gift of art. Not just the gift of seeing all the art around me but also for being artistically inclined. I can definitely say that this was of no making of my own. We each have gifts given to us by the Master Craftsman Craftsman and Artist, Jesus.

For most of what I remember, I’ve always loved drawing. While in school, my mother made sure I continued to practice my drawing. So, for college, I decided to be an art major. I went from graphic design to art education to what I believe will now be my final decision, visual arts, which is the same as being a studio major.

As of right now, I am sitting out of college due to finances. The more I’m asked where info to college and then give this response, the more I find that there are many others in the same boat. To keep me active, my mother suggested that I get involved in our local art gallery. It has been such a great experience to be involved in the local gallery. Here I have the opportunity to get tip and help from seasoned artists, even inspiration from each show theme we have every month in the gallery.

Many have asked me over time, “What’s you favorite medium…what kind of artist are you?” Honestly, I’m not sure what kind of artist I am. I’ve done a little bit of everything. Any processing learned in school I quickly fell in love with and wanted to continue. But for right now, most of my art is painting, drawing and now sculpting with polymer clay. Soon I’ll be experimenting with jewelry making, illustrating and returning to bookmaking.
